Creating waste is almost synonymous to the thought of restaurants. Given the nature of the industry, restaurants tend to accumulate unthinkable amounts of trash between throwing away uneaten meals to products gone bad to bathroom trash. Restaurants do try to be sustainable when they can by means of recycling, but no restaurant has taken sustainability as seriously as the Chicago-based sandwich shop, Sandwich Me In.

Every person uses up a fraction of the world’s resources simply through day-to-day activities. Today we can gauge how much we consume by tracking our ecological footprint! The ecological footprint metric calculates human pressures on the environment to determine how much land area it takes to support an individual’s lifestyle. It also shows which resources they consume the most.
